On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative political influencer in the United States, was shot dead at a public event.
The brutal images of the attack quickly circulate around the world.
After the initial shock, some political reactions are emerging:
Kirk is celebrated by most Republicans as a hero and martyr. He is seen as a symbol of conflict and division in the country. And also as a cautionary example of the violent, left-wing political extremists.
President Trump releases a video statement shortly after the assassination.
Some users are confused by details of the video.
A report by BR on an analysis of the video concludes that the video was likely manipulated . Exactly how remains unclear.
Kirk is praised to the skies.
Republican Senator Ted Cruz posts a picture of Kirk with Jesus.
A user comments on another picture in heaven, pointing to the social background of Freddie Mercury in relation to Kirk.
Another post with a religious reference shows Kirk as a supposed angel.
This is a depiction of the killing of a woman on September 22, 2025.
This video begins with an authentic image of the final moments before the shot.
After Kirk then puts down the microphone, he ascends the gates of heaven and grows wings. The audience applauds.
