The new phenomenon of AI is bringing old patterns of social interaction to light.
This example is about prejudices, or more precisely: the visual appearance of people.
Media is generated to convey a specific perspective to the viewer.
The message is implicit but clear:
Best case: The people portrayed are clumsy.
Worst case: The people portrayed are a danger.
The following video has a German audio track.
A woman's voice says: " No, please don't do that!".
In this video, two women are sitting on a sofa.
Then it seems like the sofa swallows and drags them along with it.
The scene takes place outdoors and quickly becomes chaotic.
It's obvious: This is a manipulated video.
In the following video, a man is standing at the stove and experiences an apparent accident involving hot oil.
The transition between the authentic video and the new section isn't immediately apparent at first glance. But the manipulation quickly becomes exaggerated.
